Crustfolk (“the App”) is a sourdough and home-baking companion — a calculator, a fermentation timer, and an illustrated bread library. It is built to work entirely on your iPhone. This policy explains what the App does and does not do with your information.
The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There is no account to create and no analytics or tracking SDKs in the App.
Your saved recipes, bake logs, ratings, notes, and any photos you add live only in the App’s local storage on your device (and in your own iCloud device backup if you have that enabled). We never receive a copy.
Photos you attach to a bake are stored locally. They are only shared if you choose to share them yourself through the standard iOS share sheet — Crustfolk never uploads them on its own, and it strips location (GPS/EXIF) data from a photo before storing it.
Timer reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. They are not sent through any server and contain no personal information.
Crustfolk Premium is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment and manages your subscription; Crustfolk only receives an anonymous flag that tells the App whether Premium is active. We never see your name, card, or Apple ID. Apple’s Privacy Policy governs the transaction.
Crustfolk contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not use the Advertising Identifier.
Crustfolk does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, no special handling is required.
Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control. Deleting an item removes it, and deleting the App removes all of its data from your device.
If this policy ever changes, the updated text will be posted on this page (and shipped inside the App) with a new effective date.
