Crustfolk is designed to keep your baking data private. There is no Crustfolk account, developer-operated backend, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. The developer does not collect, sell, or receive your recipes, bake logs, photos, notes, ratings, timer schedules, or settings.
Content you create is stored in the app’s local container using Apple’s SwiftData and UserDefaults frameworks. It remains on your device unless you deliberately share it. It may also be included in your own encrypted or iCloud device backup according to your Apple backup settings; those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by Crustfolk.
When you add a photo, Crustfolk uses Apple’s system photo picker rather than requesting broad access to your photo library. The selected image is copied into the app’s private local storage. Crustfolk does not upload it. A photo or recipe is handed to another app or service only after you open the iOS share sheet and choose a destination. The privacy terms of that destination then apply.
If you grant notification permission, timer and starter reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. Crustfolk does not use a developer push-notification server, and notification content is not sent to the developer.
Optional Crustfolk Premium products are provided through Apple’s StoreKit. StoreKit communicates with Apple to load products, determine eligible offers, process purchases, restore transactions, and verify entitlements. The app receives the signed product, offer, transaction, and entitlement state needed to present and unlock those products. Apple processes payment information; Crustfolk does not receive your card details or Apple ID. Apple may provide the developer with sales, financial, and transaction reporting through App Store Connect under Apple’s privacy terms; those reports do not contain your Crustfolk recipes, photos, notes, or other baking content.
The app also contains legal and support links that you can choose to open. Opening a link or starting an email hands the request to the relevant system app or website. Crustfolk otherwise has no developer-operated network service.
Crustfolk contains no cross-app or cross-site tracking, advertising identifier use, or third-party analytics. Its current Apple privacy manifest declares no collected data and no tracking.
You can delete individual recipes and bake logs and remove personal recipe or gallery photos in the app. Removing a photo is available independently of Premium status. Deleting the app removes its local container from the device. Copies in a device backup remain subject to your Apple backup retention and deletion settings.
Crustfolk does not knowingly collect personal data from children or adults.
If Crustfolk’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed behavior is released.
