WAETTA is a weather app. It is designed to work with as little data as possible: no account, no tracking, no ads.

1. Data we use

Precise location — only when you allow it, and only to fetch the weather for your spot.
Saved places & settings — stored locally on your device.

2. Where requests go

To show the weather, the coordinates of your selected or current place are sent to MET Norway (api.met.no / yr.no) for forecasts, precipitation nowcast, coastal data and weather warnings. MET Norway receives only the coordinates needed to answer the request and does not identify you.

Place search runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device geocoding (CLGeocoder); your typed search terms are not sent to any weather provider. Maps in the radar view are provided by Apple (MapKit).

WAETTA does not use Open-Meteo. WAETTA does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking identifiers.

3. Storage

Favorites and preferences are stored locally on your device. WAETTA does not require an account.

4. Permissions

Location and notifications are optional. You can deny them and still use the app with manual places and without alerts.

5. Data sources

Weather, precipitation nowcast, coastal and warning data: MET Norway (yr.no), licensed under CC BY 4.0. Geocoding and maps: Apple, processed on-device.

Svenska (sammanfattning): WAETTA använder din plats endast för att hämta vädret för din plats. Väder-, nowcast-, kust- och varningsdata kommer från MET Norge (yr.no, CC BY 4.0).
